Swimming is a Gift For Life!

The Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy offers a learn to swim program for children of all ages. Started in 2005 by 4 time Olympic Gold Medalist Lenny Krayzelburg, "our core purpose is to teach and inspire children to be water safe". Since our inception we have taught thousands of kids’ water safety and the importance of knowing how to swim.

Using the SwimRight Method, we utilize the swim-float-swim technique as our foundation, and focus on providing children with the knowledge of confidence and safety in and around the water. From these basic skills we take students from beginning stages of swimming all the way to learning all 4 strokes, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.

We offer a variety of classes to meet every parents need. From parent tot classes, private lessons, group classes and stroke development, you can find it all here at the Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy.

Our Learn-to-Swim program features six levels in the SwimRight® Method that was developed by Lenny Krayzelburg and his staff. SwimRight® is a sophisticated, result driven approach that has evolved from other methods over a period of 40 years, and is a synthesis of the best philosophies and most advanced thinking in the field. This method is based on progressive learning techniques, so that within their first set of lessons, children greatly improve their chances to save themselves if they purposely or accidentally enter into any body of water. The SwimRight® curriculum uses the swim-float-swim technique as its foundation. All students are taught first to have an instinct to roll over onto their backs to breathe, which provides them with the ultimate tool for saving themselves in a time of need. Additionally, this approach provides the proper body positioning for learning the strokes. Step by step, building upon these core mechanics, students develop impeccable form in the four competitive strokes

The SwimRight Method has six levels of learning. Each level has a fun name incorporated so that each child belongs to their very own level in the academy. Whether a Splasher, a Floater, a Kicker, a Streamliner, a Freestyler, or a Flyer each child in the program will collect along the way a color coded swim cap to help inspire them to move up to the next level. Additionally, each child in the program will receive their very own swim book to help them keep track of all the skills they learn, their achievements, their accomplishments, and their goals that they have achieved throughout the program. As they venture through each level, they will also collect a sticker for each skill that they learn.

Besides learning various skills in each level, our students experience something very unique to our program, the survival tests. In the survival tests we provide both the parents and the children with the confidence of knowing that their child can survive in a real-life situation. This is a very unique and valued part of the SwimRight Method and our program. We are proud to say that we truly put our teachings to the test!

Testimonials

The LK Swim School has been terrific. I have three kids enrolled of different ages and abilities. All three are taught appropriately. The instruction is strict but very kind. My youngest was three years old when he passed his survival test. I don’t ever worry about being around water with my kids, they can SWIM!

My childred (ages 5 1/2 and 7) have progressed steadily using the Smart Fish method. In the past nine months each child has gained both skills and self-confidence. Most importantly, they have developed a real love for swimming. They look forward to their lessons and are well on their way to being safe and accomplished swimmers. I am delighted with your program!

Lenny Krayzelburg Swim School ROCKS! My son has excelled in just two lessons. He loves it and I’m so happy he will be watersafe.

Just after her third birthday, our daughter tripped and fell into our friends’ newly constructed pool. The shock of the fifty-five degree water knocked the wind out of her, but Frankie rolled to her back and kicked to the side of the pool. Her dad and I reached down to give her hand out of the pool and whisked her upstairs to a warm bath. Franki’s only complaint was that the water was too cold. She said she would wait until it was warmer before going in the pool again. Putting her in lessons at LKSS is one of the best things we have done for her.

Our sons started swim lessons at the Lenny K Swim Academy at 6 and 4 months. We were not comfortable with having just a gated fence around our pool; we wanted to give ourselves a few extra minutes should the gate system fail and one of our kids fell in. Not only are both kids “watersafe” now but they both confidently jump into the pool and swim on their own. It’s a wonderful feeling to be able to spend time in the pool as a family and not have to worry about being within arms reach of the kids. We have progressed twice through the infant, toddler and preschool program developed by the LKS and enthusiastically recommend it to anyone. Not only have the lessons provided us with the added assurance for our children’s safety, it has helped them develop a love for a healthy activity.
